Assignment: Based on the scenario below, prepare and deliver a short thank you note to the individuals who conducted the interview. You will deliver the thank you note via email, so do not forget a subject line.

Scenario: You have just completed a successful job interview for a sales position with J&S Inc. Mr. Joseph Smith conducted the interview. During the interview, you and Mr. Smith discussed many on-going projects. Specifically, you were very interested in the expansion into the Hill Country market and partnerships with many of the local retailers in the area. Additionally, during the interview, you were fortunate enough to meet the Regional Manager, Ms. Allison Jones, who just happened by Mr. Smiths office during the interview. During the chance encounter, you and she briefly discussed plans for a possible team building exercise for the sales team.

Rubric

Grading will be based on two criteria: Content and Grammar and Format.

• Content:
  • 18 - 25: All relevant aspects of the situation are addressed. Proper use of the AIM model
  • 9 - 17: One of the following: Not all of the relevant aspects of the situation are addressed. Improper use of the AIM model
  • <8: Multiple occurrences of the following: Not all of the relevant aspects of the situation are addressed. Improper use of the AIM model
• Grammar and Format:
  • 18 - 25: Few to no grammatical errors. Sentence structure and information are presented in a well-organized manner. Proper format in accordance with exercise guidance.
  • 9 - 17: More than a few grammatical errors. Sentences structure and information lacked cohesion. Minor formating issues in accordance with exercise guidance.
  • <8: Multiple grammatical errors and poorly organized information. Improper format in accordance with exercise guidance.
