AProducing industrial equipment, S&M Industries is a medium-sized establishment, founded in 2015. In recent years, the organization is facing decline in sales and ultimately profitability. The directors of the company, after brain storming concluded that the basic reason of the decline is individual employees performance. HR department was given the task to develop a plan to improve performance of such employees.
Root Cause:
HR performed a need assessment exercise and identified following issues related to performance:
Expectation from employees were not clear: Employees were not clear as what was expected from them.
Absence of training & development: Employees needed training to perform their job.
Ineffective and irregular feedback: Employees were not getting regular feedback from their managers on day-to-day progress.
Rewards and recognition: Due recognition and appreciation was not considered important to achieve overall goals of the organization.
Requirements:
