Flowcharting is an easy and straightforward approach to identifying redundant, unnecessary, or flawed steps in a work process. This assignment provides an opportunity to apply this technique to a healthcare$-$related scenario.

This is a group project. However, each student is expected to draft their own flowchart in preparation for group discussions. Your group's task is to come up with a consensus flowchart that best represents the scenario and recommendations for which steps could$/$should be eliminated or modified and a rationale as to why.

Use the INSERT SHAPES feature in MS Word to create your flowcharts, or you may use the following Word template to get you started:

Read the following scenario:

Mr$.$ G Goes for a Surgical Procedure.pdf

Using this week's learning materials and any other resources you locate, create a flowchart of Mr$.$ G$$s experience. Be sure to identify each step in the process from arrival to discharge. Upon completion, identify any redundant, unnecessary, or flawed steps that could be eliminated or improved. Make an effort to use the proper symbols, though this is NOT the purpose of the assignment. It is more important that you identify each step in the process to help you pinpoint opportunities for improvement.

To complete this deliverable,

Number each step in the flowchart as it is identified.

Identify steps to be removed or altered by their number and give an explanation as to why you recommend the step$$s removal or modification. Support your recommendations with literature.

Include your individual flowcharts at the end of the document $($and identify them by the name of each author$)$
