The GateKeeper module of Compute.Access is a project that has the objective of reducing the
possibility of vehicle theft from of a parking lot at which a security barrier is installed. The basic idea
is to use automated tools that perform face recognition and license plate recognition to determine if
an approved driver is behind the wheel of a vehicle about to exit the lot. The project should use as
much local

along with the constraint that the data required for the application would not be managed
locally. It is believed the Department of Computing, UWI, Mona possesses the technical competence
to design and implement the product. The initial phase of project is aimed at creating a single
installation at the gate of the FST parking lot, however it is expected the procedures used to create
the product will allow easy replication in other locations that may request the product.
It is important that the system be completed and tested at a point in time when traffic is low, and as
such the system needs to be completed by December
