Reference Chapter 11: Preparing a training presentation (SQ2; AACSB Tag: Written and Oral Communication)

This exercise provides the students with the opportunity to select any one business communication topic or concept learned in the course and to present it to the class in a compelling way. This exercise will not require the students to invest time in research. Instead, the students can focus solely on how to present the information in a way that is both logical and compelling. This exercise will allow students to focus on developing good presentation skills. In addition, the students' classmates should be familiar with the material being presented, so they will be able to provide good feedback on the clarity of the presentation.

Students should consider the following SQ's from Ch. 11 when presenting:

1. SQ1 What do you analyze when planning a business presentation?

a. Analyze your purpose and desired outcome: Why are you presenting?

b. Analyze your audience: Who will be listening, and what do they care about?

C. Analyze your message: What will you say to achieve your desired outcome?
