For this week's discussion forum, we will once again turn to Amazon company Investigate and report on the following aspects of the organization:

What stage of the organizational life cycle is the company? What brought you to that conclusion?

How is the company structured? Is it more mechanistic or organic?

How would you classify and describe the company's formal structure? In other words, which of the following apply: Bureaucracy, Specialization, Command-and-Control, Span of Control, Centralization, and Formalization?

Given the company's stage in its organizational life cycle, its competitors, ad the macro environment, what changes do you see for the company in the next 2-5 years? What changes would you recommend? Would these fall into a planned change process or a more informal organizing and emergent change process? Why?
