Assignment Guidelines

The table below details the number of defects found in 30 samples of 100 electronic assemblies taken on a daily basis over on month. Plot these data on a correctly labelled run chart, computing the average value (center line).

When your chart is complete,create a Word document and complete the following:

1. Explain the purpose of a run chart, identifying what it can and cant it tell you.

2. Import your chart into the Word Document

3. Interpret the chart and state what you would do as the operations manager on the basis of the results

4. Provide at least two additional scenarios in which you might use a run chart.
