Assignment instructions: Students will be given a fact pattern, where current case law will be applied, along with current techniques used in cyber-crime investigation. This assignment will assess:

• SLO 4: Students will Interpret constitutional, ethical, and legal principles in the field of homeland security.

Students will draft a memorandum, or paper identifying the legal issue, rule, analysis, and conclusion. This assignment will be based in constitutional principles, case law, or both. Fact pattern will cover hypothetical facts derived from constitutional principles, case law, or both.

Faculty will select an assignment that follows the criteria outlined in the instructions that contains all of the elements of the assessment rubric.
