Question:
- Assignment is to be typed on the "Incident Report Form" template.
Assignment Summary:
- You are playing the role of a "Loss Prevention Investigator" at a retail store who just witnessed a theft in your store and ultimately arrested the suspect for theft.
- You witnessed the theft while floor walking.
- You are now responsible for now writing your Incident Report describing exactly what happened from the time you first observed the suspect right up to and including the arrest of the suspect and the handover to the police.
- Remember that the goal of any written report is to ensure that all necessary facts are included and that the reader of that report can truly understand what happened without any prior knowledge of the incident or without video evidence.
Theft Scenarios:
- You are to pick either the first or second clip from the links below and use that as the "theft scenario" for your Incident Report.
- For both of the scenarios, the camera footage begins when the suspect is already in the department in question. Your report should start approximately 30 seconds before this as if you observed the suspect(s) enter the store/department.
- You are to use the exact date and times from the timestamp in the video as the relevant times in your Incident Report.
- Eg. Time of selection, arrest, etc.
- Note:Even though the video clips have some slight time jumps, those are NOT to be considered a loss in continuity and it is fair to assume that nothing relevant happened in those gaps.
