Task: Post a courtesy adjustment to a patients financial accounting record (ledger card).

Conditions: Use the patients financial accounting record Figure 10-3 and computer.

Directions: Read the case scenario and refer to the patients financial accounting record (see Figure 10-3). Post a courtesy adjustment to her financial accounting record Figure 10-3.

Scenario: Maria Smith recently lost her job and is raising two children as a single parent. It is September 1 (current year). A discussion with Dr. Gerald Practon leads to a decision to write off the balance of the current charges on the account but not the balance forward.
