Assignment Overview

In this assignment, you will identify a physician practice and conduct a SWOT analysis. This could be a local PCP or specialist office. Ideally, you would be somewhat familiar with the location or area as this will make some of the analysis easier. Organizational websites can provide you with many key practice details such as locations, number of physicians or providers, the services that are offered, and any hospital or other affiliations. However, as you may not have a complete picture of the internal operations of the practice, please utilize outside resources to assist as necessary. For example, many physician offices are struggling with reimbursement issues or staffing. These could be considerations in your analysis. Likewise, you should search for competitors, weaknesses, or opportunities in the area $$ you should also review local demographic changes or characteristics. Lastly, it would be helpful to review any regulatory or other challenges facing medical practices or the specialty you selected.

Once the SWOT analysis is completed, you will propose strategies to address the weaknesses and threats and strategies to maximize the strengths and opportunities. You will create the outline for a marketing event that is aimed at promoting at least one of the practice strengths to the community.

For this assignment, please utilize the template that is attached separately. You do not need to write a separate paper, but just complete all the sections on the template.
