Assignment Overview:
You will create an employee assessment process (i.e., an employee review). This assignment corresponds to Learning Outcome 4 because you are creating an evaluation to help you to relate to your team members and to work around differences, and it relates to Learning Outcome 5 because you are creating a plan which can help you to bring out the best of your teammates in the future. The exercise is also likely to have a self-reflexive effect, as you will likely consider your own performance through the metrics you select. This activity could help in preparation of Parts 4 and 5 of the course project.
Instructions:
You may perform some research to use an existing performance evaluation as a model, but you should significantly alter it to make it your own. Explain the reasoning behind your assessment components.
Why did you select the format of the assessment?
What led you to include, change, or remove the questions in the review?
What are you hoping to gain or learn from the assessment?
How will you use the information?
Consider how you could integrate engagement with topics such as sustainability (ex: their knowledge of, understanding of, commitment to, passion for, experience with, or skills related to sustainability); diversity, equity, and inclusion; innovation; or social responsibility into your performance assessment as a way to guide employee behavior, organization culture, and decision-making.
Your report should include no more than two pages of explanation of your design and reasoning, and it should also include a prototype of your assessment (such as a questionnaire, step-by-step process list, matrix of metrics, etc.). Please be sure to cite any documents used as inspiration.
