Assignment Details
This assignment consists of the submission of 100% of the report draft of a student's technical report:

- Back Matter
Students are expected to achieve a 60% mark on the rough draft (from both the English and Technical instructors.
Rough Draft Body-Discussion-Analysis Section Overview
Introduction: include thesis scope, report overview, and background section (optional); incorporate any preamble information or information from previous assignments that are relevant to your report into your Introduction (e.g. topic statement, research question)
Body: include sections containing all researched information that provide topic clarification and elaboration; include researched analytical arguments, which answer the research question and prove (or on occasion disprove) the thesis statement as described in the Introduction; include data analysis and conclusions based on the data analysis, as it pertains to your report and thesis
Conclusion: include summary of report elements; address outcomes and report conclusions (e.g. information that addresses the thesis statement); provide any final conclusions and recommendations (based on research and analysis)

Remember
In-text citations are needed for all research: summaries, quotes, visuals, course-pack material, databases, lecture notes, lectures, etc.
A References page that includes the sources documented as in-text citations in the body of the text is needed
- A partial list of References page that includes sources documented as In-Text Citations); include more resources (more than 5) than were in your Annotated Bibliography
- Your References (and In-text Citations) should style guidelines
Illustrations and Visuals (figures or tables) are needed and should be properly incorporated into the report: captioned, numbered, titled, and cited appropriately
- Illustration commentary should: Preview Visual/Illustration (with caption), Present Illustration, discuss what needs to be observed in the Visual, Analyze Visual/Illustration, then connect analysis to your topic
- A citation needs to be included in the lead-in statement or with the caption
