Assignment - Project Risk Management

I need to cover the following assignment in Project Risk Management

For this assignment, I need to select either one project (success or failure), or one project organisation. Many of the available case studies are failed projects, which results in plenty of information being available. The assignment can demonstrate how well an organisation manages its project risk.

Discussion of Key Strategic Considerations I do not need to explain why I have chosen the particular case study, but discuss the main project risk topics for this case. For example, why the selected project organisation has adopted (or not) particular risk approaches, risk appetite, risk management etc and how these work for the success (or not) of the project(s). In essence, a broad overview of the key topics for your assignment, backed up by reasoned argument. So this means I cannot select a couple of 'favourite' topics to discuss, when there is a more important project risk management topic that needs to be addressed for your selected project organisation.

Critical Analysis of Key Risk Management Theories Ideally, the assignment should utilise the broad project risk topics . Referencing to project risk management theories / methodologies from the literature would be appreciated . It is important to point out that the main aim is to keep to 'project risk' rather than stray too far in to the general 'organisational risk' areas

LO1: Critically evaluate the key challenges in the application of risk management in a project context and demonstrate critical awareness of the nature and implications of cross-disciplinary research.

LO3: Demonstrate team working skills appropriate to project risk management.
