ASSIGNMENT: Read the case scenario below. From the scenario information you must $(1)$ draw a Network Diagram and $(2)$ create a Project Gantt Chart using the template shown. Both items $(1$ and $2)$ must be submitted in the space provided. You may draw your network diagram with any tool or freehand. You may use the Gantt chart template included or create your own. After creating a file to attach with the Network Diagram and Gantt chart, you must answer the questions in the Text Box provided.

CASE SCENARIO: You are the project manager responsible for a product line upgrade working for the Apple iPad business unit. Unfortunately, iPad sales have begun to wane in Europe and Apple needs an updated offering with new functions to increase demand. A new product is needed for this year$$s Christmas season and your goal is to manage the product upgrade on time and on budget.

You are lucky because when the project charter is approved you are told you may form your own project team. You may consider forming the project team to be your first task of the project. It will take you only one day to form the team and immediately after the team is formed you can begin to interview users and survey users at the same time. Interviewing users takes five days and surveying users takes three days. Once both the interviews and surveys are complete you may identify new features of the product which takes two days to complete. Once the features are identified, you may start to acquire materials and develop the marketing campaign. Acquiring the materials will take four days, and developing the marketing campaign will take two days to complete. Once the materials are acquired you can produce the prototypes taking three days.

As soon as the marketing campaign is developed, you may begin to design the graphics and conduct marketing. Designing the graphics takes three days and conducting the marketing will take five days to complete. As soon as the prototypes are complete, the graphics are designed, and the marketing is complete, your team may begin to perform sales calls in the UK which marks the end of this phase of the project for your team. Performing sales calls takes three days to complete.
