The following assignment allows you to practice your research skills, to assess the quality of different information sources, and to use the APA style of formatting of referencing information. The research skills obtained from this assignment are transferable to future Global Business Management courses and beyond.

ACTIVITY STEPS

1. Students will work in groups as assigned by the instructor.

3. Write a 5 - 6 page (double-spaced) research paper on the chosen topic. Your paper could be persuasive and/or informative. Your Research paper should include the following sections:

4. Title Page Include a title page that contains the following information:

   1. Title of Research Paper

   2. Your Name (First and Last)

   3. Course Name

   4. Instructors Name

   5. Date of Submission

5. Abstract Following the title page, is the abstract. The abstract of your paper is a summary of the information presented in your research paper and it is no longer than 250 words.

6. Introduction Write an introduction explaining the importance of your topic to the reader. Provide some context for the reader to understand the significance of learning about and discussing the issue at hand. In this section, you will clearly state what information will be presented in your research paper in regard to your topic.

7. Body of Research Use headings and if necessary, subheadings to organize the content in your research paper. You should include an in-text citation for any information you have gathered from outside sources. When taking information from external sources (books, websites, journal articles, etc.) make sure the sources are credible.

   Each external source of information should then be formally cited in the APA format and included in the Reference section of this research paper.

8. Conclusion As a final wrap-up to your research paper, you will summarize the findings of your research paper, restating the main points you have presented in your paper. Your conclusion should not be more than two to three paragraphs.
9. References Include a list of sources you used to gather information for this research assignment. Your list should be correctly formatted to the APA formatting guidelines. Your list should contain at least four different sources that are all credible and listed in alphabetical order.
10. Submit your Semi-Formal Research Assignment to your instructor on the Due Date. Make sure your research paper is double-spaced and each section of your paper is clearly titled
