Background: In my research, I will adopt the qualitative research method. My study explores disaster readiness management training strategies among healthcare professionals.Utilizing participativeaction research is particularly well-suited for my study as it involves the participants actively in the research process.I will need narrative data, which I can collect through interviews and questionnaires, which are well-suited to the qualitative method. Everything about the research will rely on inductive reasoning, purposeful sampling, and a small number of participants. The qualitative research method and its application are the only ones that best fit this kind of research. This approach not only garners insights from the experiences and expertise of healthcare professionals but also ensures that the strategies developed are directly applicable and tailored to their needs.
In all these cases, the choice of research method is intrinsically linked to the nature of the research question and the study's specific objectives. Qualitative methods are chosen for their ability to delve into subjective experiences and participatory processes, while quantitative methods are selected for their capacity to provide objective, measurable insights(Creswell & Creswell, 2018).

Cite at least one method and one design expert recommended in the CDS Dissertation Guide to provide a definition and explanation of the method and design characteristics.
CDS Dissertation Guide:
Method: Qualitative: Qualitative research methods are used to gain a deeper understanding by conducting interviews and focus groups, reviewing documents, making observations, or using questionnaires.
Design: Participative action research (PAR): requires the researcher and employees to collaboratively resolve a major organizational problem or address an organizational-level decision; the results of PAR are designed to influence policy and practice. Examples of PAR include tiger teams or blue-ribbon panels, in which participants who are impacted by the problem are brought together from across the organization to creatively address a systemic issue by planning and implementing the change. The researcher shares control of the process design with the employees.
