Positive$-$ For the consumer it opened up a wide arrange of items for the consumer to get quickly from anywhere and everywhere around the world. It put on display all the items that was available to the consumer form the comforts of home and not have to spend time in a store. It provided items and lower rates and items that was compatible with name brand.

Negative$-$The consumer did not know where the items would be coming from, what effect they had on the community or the world. With the change to online shopping it placed a lot of local businesses out of business by not being able to compete with pricing or demand. As a local business it could take them several days to weeks to get items and Amazon would have that item to the consumer in $48$hrs at a lower price. Amazon also become an advertising for the manufacture. Amazon does have warehouses to hold items but a lot of items was shipped directly from the supplier which allowed lower cost and Amazon got a percentage for advertising and getting the sale. This is what local small business and even other big business could not compete with.

Moving away from a brick and mortar store made Amazon stand out, but it has also been released how associates was treated or expected to work. With the business not allowing consumers inside the facility like normal big box retailers such as Wal$-$Mart. The consumers have no way of seeing work conditions or seeing what employees are working in$.$ Everything became by word of mouth where before it could be seen. Amazon made a lot of changes to the shopping experience from multiple companies to follow, but at the same time a lot of negative has happened with employees based on those experiences.

It is the consumers decision on to continue to purchase or not but in the end each business has some down fall and it is up to the consumer to decide which one they agree with more or disagree with more on how they choose to purchase products.
