Assume the following code:

nums $=[1,2,3,4]$ num $=5$ nums.append$($num$)$

Why does the code above use the append method instead of the concatenate operator $(+)$ when adding a num to nums?

Because you need two lists in order to concatenate

You cannot concatenate lists

Because append comes first alphabetically

Either append or $+$ would work
