An elderly gentleman was on his way in to visit his wife when he slipped on the slush that had yet to be removed from the sidewalk. He fell and landed on his right side, cracking his right elbow on the cement. An employee, on his way to work, assisted the gentleman to the emergency department for an examination. A full examination was performed on the patient, and xrays of his ribs and right elbow were ordered. Two nondisplaced right rib fractures were identified; however, the elbow was not fractured.
