At this point in the class, you have learned about many different career options in Supply Chain Management. Discuss the role of one of these jobs and why you are interested in learning more about this Supply Chain job. In Chapter 9 we find inventory management is important to count quantities, reorder points, and maintaining a safety stock. Further in Chapter 10, the concept of Six-Sigma Quality and lean systems involve quality checking and building better efficiency in the supply chain. Expand on the various jobs you are interested with the following points:

Write one paragraph discussing one job you learned about and why you would want that job. What interests you about the job and make sure you explain where if falls along or in the Supply Chain.

Write one paragraph examining what motivates people to want to work in such a high-pressured industry, where one mistake can cause significant delays, failures, and company loses.

Write one paragraph reflecting upon someone that you know the directly contributes to one aspect of the supply chain or another. Remember that almost every job has some connection to the supply chain, so do not feel limited in your answer. (Make sure you support your opinion with academic resources such as journal articles found on the HCCC Library website databases under research.)
