Objective: Observe how light refracts in water.

Materials: Pencil, water, transparent cup.

Procedure:

*Place the pencil on the cup with water.

*Look the the pencil from the side of the cup. What do you notice?

*Look the pencil form the top of the cup. Does the pencil below water look shallower?

*Look the pencil from below the cup. Does pencil before submerging to water look farther?

*just make a qualitative observaions.
