Garage:

The roof is relatively flat so in 2000 your cousin slim replaced the built-up roof with a single-ply EPDM. The dimension of the roof are 24 X 30.
Martha would like to install a 6 deep green roof and garden on the roof. There is no reason to tear-up the EPDM layer as its in relatively good shape.
House:
The house has one layer of fiberglass shingles installed on the 6/12 pitched gable roof. The shingles are old and need to be replaced. Shes considering installing a 20 gage metal roof because its on sale at Menards and the metal can be recycled with replaced. While the roof is torn up she would like to add 16 of wool insulation to cut down on the drafts. The house is a traditional platform framed walls 2X 4-8-0 studs 16 on center. The roof and ceiling with are 2X8 rafters on 16 on center. The square footage of the roof is 1800, ceiling is 1200 square feet.
