Six sets of identical twins (blocks) participate in the experiment in a Balanced Incomplete Block Design (BIBD). Sets of twins are assigned at random to the block positions, and varieties are randomly assigned to treatment positions. Within blocks, the individuals are assigned at random to the varieties. After the colour is applied, a measure of intensity is obtained. (i) Find the values of k, r and 2. (3) (ii) Note: SST=243; SSTO=1220 and the totals for the six blocks are given as follows: 140, 164, 164, 132, 132 and 120. Give the ANOVA table and test for treatment effects (adjusted for blocks).
