$($b$)$ Seven years after a contractor had completed and handed over an office block, defects were discovered. The employer moved out into rented offices whilst the defects were being repaired. The rent was $5000/$month although there was equally good office space in the locality at $3000/$month$.$Advise the contractor as to its liability for damages.
