Examples include overeating, spending too much time on your cell phone or social media, smoking, nail biting, gaming, or binge watching TV (or Netflix). Behavior modification can be effective in breaking undesirable habits. Task: You will create an infographic that explains how behavior modification techniques can be used to change an undesirable habit. You will select one habit that people commonly want to change. You will create a visually attractive and informative infographic that gives specific suggestions for changing the behavior. Target Audience: The audience for your infographic will be high school students would could be helped by modifying their behavior to eliminate undesirable habits. Objectives: Purpose of the infographic is to: ● Explore how behavior modification techniques can be applied to a specific situation. Create an informative and helpful infographic that will encourage someone to break an undesirable habit. Procedure: 1. Identify a target behavior that is commonly considered an undesirable habit. 2. Write out a specific plan of action that someone would/could use to modify the behavior. The plan could be used for one person to use to self-modify a behavior. It could also recommend that two people work together supporting each other while they work on changing their undesirable habits. The infographic might even recommend group sessions that encourage participants to be responsible for their actions. 3. Gather graphics, photos, or other visual elements that you will use to make your infographic visually appealing. 4.
