A charity organization that addresses the social problem is "Feeding America," which focuses on providing food assistance and creating a hunger-free America.

Policy Proposition Thesis Statement: With approximately 820 million people globally suffering from hunger, the audience should support Feeding America to combat this critical issue and contribute to their mission of ending hunger by providing nutritious meals to those in need.

You are required to make a Persuasive Charity speech outline . Use the Persuasive Charity Speech Outline Template. The speech preparation outline is essential for giving an effective speech presentation in this course. The outline must use the outline template provided in this module. You can view an Example of Persuasive Charity Speech. The speech outline will include the following four components:

The Introduction:

The introduction of your speech should include an attention getter, thesis/central idea policy proposition form, credibility statement, and a preview statement.

The Body:

The body of the outline should have all three of your main points you plan to discuss in your speech. Each main point should have evidence, including facts, examples, statistics, expert testimony, etc. Between each main point, you should have a transition that states the previous point you discussed and what the next point will be. For the Persuasive Charity speech, your main points must be:

1. Main point 1 (Establish a Need for Change): Explain the need for change. Why is this social issue a problem that warrants the audience's attention? Describe the social problem in detail. Detail the extent of the social problem (e.g., who does it impact--this could be multiple groups), the severity of the social problem (e.g., are people dying, being bullied, etc.), and how this social problem might impact the audience both directly or indirectly (e.g., the costs to society).
2. Main point 2 (Satisfaction): State the charity organization you are asking the audience to support and state its mission. Consider researching the values, strategic goals, etc. of the charity organization. Describe a charity organization (local, state, national, or international) that is addressing the social problem. State some of the programs, initiatives, etc. that the charity is doing to address the problem.
3. Main point 3 (Visualization): Describe the positive impact of the charity organization on the social problem. Explain how many people the charity organization has helped. Explain how the charity organization's positive consequences as they relate directly to the programs and initiatives you discussed in the previous main point. You are required to share a success story (this can be one listed on the charity organization's website).

The Conclusion (Call to Action):

The conclusion of the outline should summarize your speech, reinforce the thesis/central idea, and end with a memorable close. You will include a final summary wherein you restate the main points you discussed in the speech, refer to the thesis/central idea (something from the introduction of the speech), and end with a memorable statement. The conclusion must include a call to action that moves the audience to get involved in some way that does not involve monetary donations.
