Background: Wikipedia defines the term "Technological convergence" as "the tendency for different technological systems to evolve toward performing similar tasks." "Digital convergence can refer to previously separate technologies such as voice (and telephony features), data (and productivity applications), and video that now share resources and interact with each other synergistically." As we learn about all of the different ways that three dimensional digital imaging is being implemented (i.e. 3D holography, 3D cinema, 3D games, 3D printing, etc.), it leads us to wonder what will happen as these and other technologies continue to converge and overlap with other processes, specifically the process and product of Art.

Discussion: Based on what you have recently seen, If it was up to you to predict where we will be in the near future (5-10 years), What would you envision to be some of the new ways (innovations) 3D will converge with other art forms, manufacturing processes and technologies?
