Question: Background: You have been working closely with your major stakeholder on a project aimed at improving marketing communications globally the installation of Video Wall technology

Background:
You have been working closely with your major stakeholder on a project aimed at improving marketing communications
globally the installation of Video Wall technology (essentially a very large TV screen created by stacking individual
video wall LED flat-screen cubes) in each major location in every region
This will enable a constant information feed on products, good news and PR to the public, media, customers etc. The
message will be the same globally in local languages to promote the global / local ethos of the brand
The video walls will be located externally (either on the sides of buildings or free standing) and will operate 24/7
The relevant planning authorities globally have all accepted proposals and approved the installation / time scale
The budget is substantial capital spend =22.5m; ongoing opex spend =4m P.A.
This concept was piloted 2 years ago and the budget has been based upon that experience
The project team has completed the ASQCIRS business requirements template and an extract of this is attached
Your knowledge of the market is patchy:
- There are circa 56 manufacturers of video wall equipment all global brands
- The demand for this technology is fairly limited trading floors, advertising sites etc. Our installation globally will be
significant and strategically important other corporates may follow to create a sizeable new market
Tasks Individually as directed by the tutor:
1. Consider the ASQCIRS template attached and the associated supplier capability required, i.e. what capability is required
to deliver optimal performance against our business requirements (this analysis will be used as the basis for the RFI and
also to determine the award criteria)
2. In plenary feedback and discuss the associated capability and also its relative importance
3. Discuss some the challenges that you have faced in linking supplier award criteria to business requirements and how
best to gather the various data to inform your evaluation against award criteria
