Based on my Unfinished experiment, please answer these questions.
Determine if the data is approximately normal; provide mathematical proof.
Hypothesis Testing Carry out your test by finding the appropriate test statistic and corresponding p-value. Summary This is where your conclusion should go - report your results and how we can use this information in the future
"Whatever claim is being made, you will test it through a one-sample or two-sample t test for means. You will be collecting the data to reject or fail to reject a claim. This can be a claim made online or your own invented claim! Just make sure not to investigate the data before you hypothesis!!"
PROJECT:
Hypotheses:
Null Hypothesis (H0): There is no significant difference in concentration and focus between individuals who listen to classical music and those who do not. Alternative Hypothesis (H1): Listening to classical music improves concentration and focus.
The parameter I am measuring is the level of concentration and focus, which will be assessed through a task-based measurement.
Significance Level: = 0.05. I chose this significance level because it is a commonly used threshold in hypothesis testing, and it allows for a reasonable balance between Type I and Type II errors.
Data Analysis:
I will collect my data through an online survey distributed to a sample population of college students. The survey will include questions about the participants' music listening habits and their perceived level of concentration and focus during a specific task. The sample will be selected using a simple random sampling method, and the sample size will be less than 10% of the population of college students.
Here is a sample table of the data collected from 5 family mebers:
Participant Music Listening Habit Concentration Level (out of 10) 1 Yes 8 2 No 6 3 Yes 9 4 Yes 7 5 No 5 ... ... ...
