Based on the articles I have read about millennials and job hopping I would say they are more likely to be job hoppers. Which job hopping would be spending less than 2 years before getting another job or position. Some employers find this a positive and some find it a negative.
I personally think it depends on the person. Obviously if this job hopper is losing jobs or having to bounce around jobs due to being fired or not being productive at their job then this would definitely be a bad thing for the employee. I also think it depends on your employer also. Some employers find job hopping millennials a benefit to the company. In my experience, hiring millennials can also create a mentorship culture, especially at companies with older, more tenured employees. Generations learn from each other and companies grow. There truly is strength and greater output in diverse workplaces''(Onishuk para 8). Obviously this isn't the case with all job hopping millennials as some are having to job hop because they cant hold a job because of bad work effort.
I personally wouldnt want to take the job hopping path to try to land a high salary job but I do think its possible. I really think it depends on the person who is job hopping as you have to be very ambitious to job hop and be successful. As I am someone who wants to find the right employer that will respect my loyalty to the company or organization and will benefit from my hard work towards the company.I dont think job hopping is a red flag but I do think certain job hoppers are red flags which Is the same for someone who isn't job hopping as well. Anyone can be a red flag for an employer, it just depends what they're looking for.
