Demand rate for exams increases the number of patients waiting for examination. Based on the clinic has an exam schedule, each patient has a dynamic expected wait time. Also, to satisfy the patients, clinic decision makers set a target waiting time. If the expected wait time increases work pressure on persomel will increase. Additionally, an increase in target wait time will decrease work pressure. Work pressure causes overtime and quit rates. Long overtime hours will increase the clinician fatigue, and subsequent effects of fatigue on exam quality and backlog through rework, as well as feedback to clinician fatigue rate and quit rates.
