Be as descriptive in writing as possible and create a character. Human, alien, animal  whatever you want. You can even go all Disney and bring a talking clock or other tool to life (literary term: anthropomorphism). Go deeper than just the physical description. What are your character's motivations? Goals? Purpose? Backstory? Don't forget setting.

Create a Setting.

Where is your character? A beach? Class? A tree? An alien planet? What does it not only look like, but what does this place feel like, smell like, etc... Describe that setting as descriptive as possible.

Create a Conflict.

What is happening to your character in this place? Give them a problem to solve.
