Ben, a Sikh, worked as a journalist for Orange Ltd on their daily newspaper,Orange Daily. There had previously been a licensing arrangement between theOrange Dailyand an Australian newspaper,Sunny Sydney, under which theOrange Dailycould reproduce material fromSunny Sydney. That arrangement came to an end recently, but Ben was too busy and did not notice the email sent from the company. Ben copied portions of an article inSunny Sydneyand as a result,Orange Dailywas sued by Sunny Sydney for infringement of copyright. Ben's boss was so angry about it and he scolded Ben for that. During their conversation, the boss told Ben not to wear turbans any more. Ben was irritated by such requirement and said he would quit. The day after their conversation, Ben was fired.
