This contemporary blog post should focus on an example or topic related to humanitarian reporting.

The example / topic you pick is up to you. It could be an example of media's reporting of a particular humanitarian crisis (for example: Syria-Turkey earthquake).

You should apply a theory (for example: framing, gatekeeping etc) in examining your example and present an original analysis. Those that do well are those that have a good balance between theory and analysis.

You should include images, links to videos, links to other sources, and also reference your work as required.

- A blog post being an opinion-driven piece, based on evidence/fact and angled for an

audience.

- Pick a specific example or topic, and avoid using topics that are too broad (for example;

the 2004 tsunami or the refugee crisis are broad topics).

- You should demonstrate evidence of research and original analysis - you should apply a

can also add a bibliography using Harvard referencing.

- Your blog post should be structured in a clear and logical way - Have a headline, a clear

introduction, theoretical context / literature review, analysis, and conclusion (think about the sub-headings you would use for each section as well, rather than saying - theory, analysis etc)

- You must use 5-8 academic papers, beside any media work you would cite

- Use at least one image

- You can add links to videos, gifs, tweets etc

- Check spelling, grammar etc
