State Taxes The scenario from Chapter 1 where someone purchase a bracelet in Hawaii but has to pay their tax and home use tax seems to be excessive. Hawaii is part of the U.S. So why did she have to pay extra taxes? If she was in any other state that would haven't been accessed. It seems that would discourage people from purchasing in other states. Reply Ben Dionne 4:01pm In regard to jurisdiction. The question I have is how is government about to allocate tax paying money between local, state and federal tax? Also, how can jurisdiction change within that location with external events beginning the discussion. This question interested me because with our current situation taxpayers want to be more warry about where their money is going. Due to covid the government had to pay many people stimulate checks to ensure businesses survive. Due to this situation do taxpayers feel that we need to allocate more to ourselves or continue to fund the government whose debt has continuously gotten worse
