Brand Social Media Monitoring means tuning in and carefully listening to what people say, anywhere online, about a brand and its products. Social media monitoring also refers to tracking various conversations around topics and keywords of interest. Being aware of what the target market is saying about a brand (and a competitors brand) is extremely important to marketers.

For Project 1, youll need to:

1. Choose one brand (NIKE OR ADIDAS ) and monitor your brands social media accounts. Also monitor their competitors social media accounts and familiarize yourself with what the followers for each brand are saying. Pay attention to comments, reviews and user generated content that surrounds the marketing space. Then, answer the following questions:

1. What are common criticisms, concerns and compliments that the followers for each brand are expressing?
2. Are there differences in the way followers for each brand are engaging on social media platforms?

2. Based on your social monitoring research, share at least three recommendations on how to better serve your brands target market on social media.
