building a software product$/$system$.$ It revolves around building a software system$/$application or product for a hypothetical$/$fictitious company. This system could be a new payroll system, an ATM machine, or a driving system simulator.

Operational concepts describe a system from the users$$ viewpoint. The document that describes operational concepts is referred to as a ConOps $($Concepts of Operation$),$ an OCD $($Operational Concepts Document$),$ or a mission statement.

Deliverable #$1$ is to prepare some elements of a ConOps for the proposed system. Your abbreviated ConOps will contain the following sections:

Needs that motivate development of a new system $($be brief and creative$).$

A brief description of your proposed system and how it is unique$/$different $($be brief and creative$).$

Four or more user classes and their user characteristics.

Other stakeholders and their stakeholder characteristics.

NOTE $1$: a user class is a set of users who all interact with a system in a similar way. $$Beginning Student$$ and $$Instructor$$ are examples of user classes. In UML, a user class is called an actor.

NOTE $2$: a stakeholder is any person who affects, or will be affected by$,$ the development and operation of a system.
