Departmentsare named, and have a department code assigned by the university.Each faculty member is assigned to a single department. The systemtracks the faculty FSU ID number, name, and whether or not theyhave a Ph.D. Many departments offer more than one major; forexample the management department offers a general managementdegree, human resources, and MIS to name a few. Each major, howeveris offered by only one department. The department keeps track ofthe major name, major code, and number of students in the major. Amajor can exist though even if no students are currently majoringin it. Students can have more than one major, but must have atleast one. The system tracks the FSU student ID, student name, andGPA.
Assignment Instructions:Given the case provided identify theentities, the attributes, the business rules and design a databasediagram. (1) Identify the entities (1.5 point).
(2) Identify the attributes for the entities (1.5 points).
(3) Draw an ERD for the following case. Be sure to include theentities, attributes, primary keys (identifiers), foreign keys, andrelationships (including cardinality). Also, do not leave anymany-to-many relationships in your data model. The ERD can be drawnon a paper, scanned and then uploaded to Canvas. (7 points)(4)
