Question 3 (30 marks) (Your answer should be with maximum 600 words for answering both parts in this question.) a) Six months ago, Dennis (age 40) delivered HK$400,000 goods to Victor (age 35) for Victors restaurant business. Victor failed to settle the price of the goods for more than four months after due payment date. Last week, when Dennis went to Victors restaurant to demand payment of the goods purchase price, Victor was extremely angry and lost control. After heated quarrel, Victor went to kitchen to pick up a long knife to stab into the left arm of Dennis. Dennis was injured seriously. Later, Victor was arrested by the police. Explain the criminal nature and civil nature of Victors acts, the applicable criminal procedures and civil procedures for handling Victors series of illegal acts. (20 marks)

b) Mr Yeung was born as a boy and disliked himself as being male since his childhood period. When he was aged 21, he underwent medical operation and became lady Miss Yeung. Miss Yeung cohabited with Alex Wong for ten years and decided to marry. Last month, the Marriage Registry rejected the registration of their marria ge. Miss Yeung felt that it was unacceptable and wanted to challenge the decision of the Marriage Registry. Advise Miss Yeung as to which court can she apply to challenge the Marriage Registrys decision.
