By far the most important topic discussed in this video (in my opinion) is how the UCC works as a gap filler. For example, Tom buys a used riding lawn mower from Sara for $1,500. (Note: The UCC applies to nonmerchants as well as merchants - thus a transaction between two neighbors or people who buy via Craigslist is governed by the UCC unless otherwise agreed.) Tom assumed Sara would drop the lawnmower off at his house as he does not have a truck or trailer but she does. Sara refused to do so unless Tom paid her $60 to do so. Since Tom and Sara did not discuss whether the seller would deliver the mower to the buyer, how does the UCC's gap filler provisions resolve this problem?
