$($c$)$ Performance characteristics of a punp is shown in Table PI $($c$).$ The pipe system is designel to convey water from a lower reservoir located at an elevation of $180m$ through a $40cm$ dianneter total length of $1000m$ commercial steel pipe with friction factor, $f=0\mathrm{.}0125$ to a higher reservoir Jocated at an elevation of $200m.$ determine $($i$)$ the discharge, bead and power required if one pump is used $($ii$)$ the discharge, head delivered & total power produced and power consumed by each pump if two identical pumps are conneeted in series. The systen has two gate valves $(k_v=0\mathrm{.}15$ each$)$ and two bends $(($:$k{b}_b=0\mathrm{.}35$each$\}.$
