Even though the answers are in our textbook, we still need to write them in our own words, so I need some help. So much appreciated.

1. Pg 85. - Briefly describe what happens at each stage of birth (3 stages)

2. Pg. 89 - Of the four alternative birthing procedures listed, describe in detail the one that sounds the most intriguing to you as an alternate method to the norm.

3. Pg 91. What are your thoughts on pain reducing methods for childbirth? Should we have it be available? What are the pros and potentials cons of using medication during childbirth?

4. Starting at "Preterm infants: too soon, too small" on pg 94 to the end of pg 99, I want you all to take notes on each section. This section is a heavy topic, but I think it's important you take some time to contemplate on it. Just include your notes in what you turn in. And after watching the film we did in class, how different does it feel reading about it versus observing families who have gone through it.

8. Pg 106 - What is habituation, how is it helpful to have learning where we don't respond as much as before, and how is it helpful for newborns?
