Assume that a = 0.01, b = 0.03, and both a and b are constant with respect to time. Create an ODE time-stepping model of the battle using Equations (1.2) for a scenario where all 600 troops of the 7th Cavalry attack all 5,000 warriors of the Sioux at once. Use a SE3250 AY2022 Q2 time step of 0.25 minutes. Using your low-resolution model, determine the battle outcome. Who won? How long is the battle, and what is the ending strength of the victor? How does this compare to the historical record? Do you feel you have a valid model for this battle?
