When told to graph this problem, it is written out as x < 5 To convert this problem and put it into an interval notation, I know that an open circle is represented as a ( ) and ties into the < > signs meaning x is less/greater than but doesn't equal that number. However, a closed circle is represented as [ ] and ties into the < > signs meaning x is less/greater than or equal to that number. Looking at the graph and seeing that the arrow is continuous, my answer to the problem is (-, 5)
