You will construct a geometrical figure that may be used to decorate a home or office. Using the skills that you have learned in this course, you will construct a threedimensional figure of your choice from a prism or pyramid. 0 Purpose: The purpose of this assignment is for you to reason with the mathematical concepts that you have learned this semester. The project must include the following: 0 Introduction to the design including its description, dimensions, and properties. 0 Drawing of the net of the design and the physical model (a replica). O Derivation of the formula for surface area of the design including an explanation and justification for the formula. 0 Derivation of the formula for volume of the design including an explanation and justification for the formula. 0 MPLEASE NOTE:** Do not simply include a formula and your work. You must explain how/why the formula for each calculation (surface area and volume) works. 0 Audience: You are trying to sell this design to a customer who has just purchased a home and is currently in need of items to decorate his/her new place.
