Chapter 5: Information for Making Human Resource Decisions Chapter 5: Job Analysis Activity For this assignment you will conduct a brief job analysis of the job of a parent (i.e., mother, father, etc.). Parents can be viewed much like any managerial position including having to fulfill a number of roles throughout the day. As the job analysts in this scenario you bring multiple perspectives to the analysis process. Most have, or had, parents or parental figures. Others may be parents themselves (these are our SME's). Identify the major roles that parents play. We are looking for generalizations across the industry of parenting, not organization specific requirements. For each role identify a few tasks that parents would need to complete as part of that role. For each task identify what KSAO's would be required in order to be able to do that task. When you are complete, identify the primary requirements that would be listed in the job specification. You can present your findings in lists, use diagrams, etc. Whatever best suits your style
