Can someone please help with this HTML problem?

I understand how to make the buttons, labels and text input boxes. However, I don't know how to correctly code the submit form button. Also, I don't understand exactly what I need to do to use "HTML5 validation techniques." Also, is there an easy way to use HTML or javascript to print the text the user has inputted next to the input area of the page?
