It has to include basic information about lab operating policies and procedures, short sections with information aimed at students in specific courses or training sessions.

For ideas on topics think about what information a new student or trainee would want to know. Rely on your own experience as a user or as a lab assistant. One of the goals is to replace as much of the verbal instructions given by lab staff and as many printed signs as possible with an information sheet that the lab staff can distribute to new users.
