Before I discuss Microsoft's IT architecture and IT infrastructure it is critical to understand these terms. Pearlson, Saunders, and Galletta define these terms when they write, "An IT architecture provides a blueprint for translating business strategy into a plan for IS. An IT infrastructure is everything that supports the flow and processing of information in an organization, including hardware, software, data, and network components" (Pearlson, Saunders & Galletta, 2020, pg. 134.) An example of Microsoft's IT architecture is Microsoft Azure. InterviewBit explains Microsoft Azure when they write, "Microsoft Azure is a cloud computing platform that lets you create, deploy and manage applications and services. It provides tools such as machine learning, mobile app development, and IoT solutions" (InterviewBit, 2022, para. 10.) An example of Microsoft's IT infrastructure is JavaScript which is a software programming language.
